Turning Hearts Toward Home
A Call to Generational Intercession
This picture hangs in our office! It’s a constant reminder that Jesus said, ““Again, truly I tell you that if two of you on earth agree about anything they ask for, it will be done for them by my Father in heaven. For where two or three gather in my name, there am I with them.”
“There may be limits on what parents can do and say- but there are NO LIMITS on what they can pray!
Lord, guide and honor the diligence of the faithful intercessors in ministries and movements calling on families to pray and to seek generational restoration.
The many national and international 24‑7 prayer networks, The National Day of Prayer, See You at the Pole, Mom Co/MOPS, Legacy Coalition, Renewanation/The Christian Grandparenting Network, to name only a few. God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob make us all partners in prayer for Your multi-generational work of restoration and disciple making.
Lord, restore what has been broken between generations.“He will turn the hearts of parents to their children…” (Malachi 4:6).
Heavenly Father, teach us to pray without ceasing for our families.“Pray continually,” (1 Thessalonians 5:17).
God of all generations, unite us in Your love and truth. May Your Spirit bridge every divide.
Lord, as You have in past prayer movement, awaken prayer in our homes today. Make our families houses of prayer.
Jesus, soften hearts that have grown cold.“I will give you a new heart…” (Ezekiel 36:26).
Holy Spirit, breathe hope into parents and grandparents who feel alone. Strengthen them with Your presence.
Father, teach us humility in our relationships.“Clothe yourselves with humility,” (1 Peter 5:5)
God, heal wounds that have lingered for years. Let forgiveness flow like living water.
Lord, give us courage to take the first step toward reconciliation.“Blessed are the peacemakers,” (Matthew 5:9).
Jesus, protect our families from isolation and despair. Surround us with Your people and Your peace.
Father, raise up praying parents and grandparents across the world. Let their intercession shape future generations.
Lord, remind us that no relationship is beyond Your reach.“With God all things are possible,” (Matthew 19:26).
Holy Spirit, guide our words when we seek forgiveness. Let truth and tenderness walk hand in hand.
God, strengthen every parent waiting for a prodigal to return.“While he was still a long way off… (Luke 15:20).
Lord, knit together churches, ministries, and families in united prayer. Make us one as You are one.
Father, comfort those who grieve broken relationships. Wrap them in Your unfailing love.
Jesus, teach us to listen deeply and love patiently. Shape our hearts to reflect Yours.
Lord, bless every small group, prayer circle, and gathering that seeks Your face. Multiply their impact across generations.
God of hope, restore joy where sorrow has taken root.“Restore to me the joy of Your salvation,” (Psalm 51:12).
Jesus, we anxiously anticipate Your coming, but may we not become weary in our intercession. If You chose to tarry may we be a people whose prayers reflect love and concern for the lifetimes of those who come after us. “Yes, I am coming soon.” “Amen! Maranatha, come Lord Jesus,” (Revelation 22:20).
