Hi all,
I’m Cindy- daughter of God, wife, Mom & Nana,
For 46 years, Jeff and I have been building a life rooted in faith and family. As a longtime homeschool mom, my days have been shaped by the beautiful, busy rhythm of raising our tribe—including the unique joy of walking alongside our youngest daughter, who has Down syndrome. She truly is the best gift we never knew we needed!
To me, generational blessing isn't about a religious form; it’s about introducing our children to a real, vibrant relationship with Jesus. I love sharing how He has met me and taken me through the stresses and meses of my story. Just remember His love is still writing yours, too.
My world revolves around our 22 'grands,' planning monthly celebrations, 'Grand Camps,' and soaking up every intentional moment. When the house is quiet, you’ll find me with a good book, playing the piano, or lost in a worship playlist."
I’m an active guy who loves running, triathlons, hiking, hunting, and just being outside. I’m energized by people and conversation, but the quiet moments — worship, Scripture, prayer, and simply talking with Jesus — are what keep me grounded.
Cindy and I grew up in the small farming town of McLean, Illinois, a community where church and family were tightly woven. I loved Cindy long before she knew it. She played piano and organ from fifth grade on, and I was the teen in the pews who couldn’t stop watching her.
For forty-two years, I have been a pastor, with a five-year interlude as a Christian school administrator. Sprinkled on those two immensely rewarding positions have been other life-shaping roles — classroom teacher, coach, church planter, district overseer, & family policy advocate. However, the titles that matter the most to me and those I love the most are husband, father, and Poppy.
Our marriage Life Verse-
“Oh magnify the Lord with me and let US exalt His name together. Psalm 34:1
Before we married, we decided we wanted our home to be a family under God. We studied Scripture, prayed for children born and not yet born, for their future spouses, and for the generations that would follow. Thoughwe had but a vague vision of what that might look like 40 plus years later, that simple commitment and intentionality shaped everything we see today. Though imperfect, God has taken our heart desires- and our human efforts- and created something beyond what we could have ever asked or dreamed.
After decades of ministry, parenting, grandparenting, and caring for our parents, one truth has become unmistakable: EVERYONE FLOURISHED WHEN THE GENERATIONS STAY CONNECTED.
That conviction is what gave birth to Cross Gen Life.
After our family pictures- in 2025- Moriah had arranged for us to make this video of our family joining together- with Jeff and I first- and then our oldest to the youngest members of our children with their families joining them.
Family video starting with Jeff and Cindy married 46 years- each of their children entering into the picture with the spouses and their children- crossgen living, family connection
